Overview

PCS is an application that provides current pipe stress engineers, with a familiar interface for a powerful finite element solver (Simulia Abaqus).

Finite element simulation of large piping systems requires not only an extensive knowledge of pipe stress analysis, but also a large amount of man-hours dedicated to geometry generation, loads & boundary conditions assignments, calculation, post-processing and finally reporting.

There is also the added difficulty that most pipe stress engineers are not capable of generating such complex models on high-end finite element software, while most finite element engineers lack the knowledge and experience to properly perform such analysis.

One of the key aspects of the development of PCS was that current pipe stress analysis workflow should not be compromised. That is why our input interface is easy to learn and fast to use, while our templates for post-processing and tabular reporting allows the evaluation and storage of results.
